This observation is for the snake

I encountered this "Clash of the Titans" while birding in Arpenteur Nature Park. I did not see the final outcome, but it did not look good for Bob.

Found in a bare patch under some wood located in a grassy field. The field is near a forested area and wetlands that are home to frogs and small rodents for prey.

Taking down a black-masked racer at least 3-4 times its length

Snake was attempting to swallow the trapped mouse. Snake was fine.

After determining that the snake was not trapped, the mouse was released so the snake could eat unhindered.
