Descripción

Casual survey of bridge on highway 118 south of Alpine.
Several hundred Myotis yumanensis roosting across the length of the bridge.
Potential second Myotis species observed.
Fewer than 20 Mexican Freetails observed roosting both with Myotis and solitary.

Three turtles, a snowy egret and a first spring little blue heron. Snowys tolerate little blue herons, possibly because the lbh babies and juveniles are all white for their first year and they tend to stay near snowys for protection and better fishing opportunities.
