Check out the blue paint on the tail. The coyote entered the L.A. Zoo from Griffith Park. The male was trapped, marked, and released back into the park by zoo staff. Two days later, my brothers (8 and 10) discovered it in their neighbor's backyard (a few miles away from the zoo). I am happy the zoo's efforts are paying off. What a crazy coincidence!

We were walking around Rodeo Lagoon and my fiancé saw orange/orange behind a couple trees. He(?) proceeded to stay back and caught a mole which he played around with. He did approach cars briefly, and fortunately everyone stopped and then he ran off behind the buildings and we did not see him again. At this time, I did not know about hazing and am so glad I have learned!

Had a funny event play out close to the Rio Grande Village at Big bend NP. I had just parked and noticed this Coyote across the park road staring intently at some high grass between it and me. He walked towards it and two Wilson's Snipes flushed and flew to thicker cover. The Coyote kept going to the same spot then picked up a large fallen limb, looked at me a few times then walked back to the back of the clearing and starting chewing on the limb...

Shot in scapula, dragged by bear to three different feeding sights. Multiple bear lays and scats scattered about. Worn runs made by bear and other scavengers showing imprinted bear compressions over the week or two of feeding.

I took this blurry photo of this young deer from my parked car. I think it's a mule deer, based on the black tip of its tail (wdfw.wa.gov/living/deer.html).

What looks like one adult and three young Mountain Lions. Only the second Mountain Lion on the cams! The video shows playful behavior among the young.

Our guide identified this as a golden jackal and said they were less common in the Amboseli region than black-backed jackals. I’m struggling to tell the difference and wondered what the iNaturalist community might think...
