It seems that if I leave the porch light on and check around 10:00 I'm likely to find one. Don't know how long they stick around after I turn the light off, but they haven't been there in the morning.

I'm like 95% sure this is a Lesser Yellowlegs? Yellowish legs with a straight bill (no upturn) and no complete eyering leads me away from Greater Yellowlegs or Solitary Sandpiper. I'd love other opinions though; shorebirds are still tricky for me
