Light brown wings, a hint of white stripe going down the spine. Had long antennas, did not make noise but crawled and flew.
The shape of this Noctuid (particularly the "hood") looks familiar but I can't recall the genus off the top of my head. I think the buffy AM "band" is actually a worn area on the FW.

By thread count, the length estimate is ~17 mm, forewing length ~12 mm, wingspan ~28-30 mm
