Juvenile monkey taking refuge in leafy tree after being physically attacked on house roof by male (?) RW Starling for venturing - seemingly unintentionally - too close to the Starlings' nest. Starling struck the youngster at least twice with his beak on the back and rump as she ran screaming for cover. Brief uproar from the troop as they all quickly left the roof for the cover of the tree, settling in mid-stratum. The starlings cleverly avoided their nest, perching well above the troop in the canopy making low 'tuneful growls' at the monkeys below. The female only flew back to her chicks in the nest after the monkeys had moved on.
