These little herbs are growing in full sun on a compacted sandy clay trail leading into the pond. They are growing amongst Cynodon dactylon, Smilax bona-nox, and Rubus trivialis.
Corollas are small yellow and bilabiate with dark veins.
A small trailing vine is growing inconspicuously in full sun next to the trail into the pond and is not abundant. Flowers are smallish, campanulate, corollas white with a dark red "eye". Leaf blades deeply lobed. Other vegetation includes Cynodon dactylon, Ilex vomitoria, Juniperus virginiana, Linum sp., Plantago sp.
