this one was definitely smaller than 1 inch, and struck me as smaller than most leafcutter bees i see, especially in the thorax area
In drier years, the dry bed of Barton Creek at this location would still have an array of nectar resources for butterflies. The most common nectar resource on this particular visit was American Water-willow (Justicia americana).
