The leaves alternate and slightly wrap around the stem. It is about 4 feet tall. All of the vegetation has a succulent texture. The leaves are elongate. The inflorescence includes a green aggregate with yellow flowering parts at the top.
Leaves alternate and have 3 leaflets. The underside of the leaflets have a white line that represent the vein. It is a foot and a half tall. The color is dark green and they feel leathery.

These fern leaves appear to be coming from the ground single but they are in patches around each other. The leaflets are opposite and the leaf tissue continues along the rachis. They are a light green and feel smooth.
The margins have hairs along and the stem has fuzzy white hair on the stem that feels like a “pipe cleaner” the leaves are opposite and the veins travel parallel to the central vein to the end of the leaflet. Both sides of the leaf are feel like velvet.
Located next to a pond, the leaves are opposite and feel leathers smooth, the margins are smooth and red colored, I think it’s the same genus as the other black haw we have seen but possibly a different species
