Ziggy spotted these inside a small grotto on the side of a sea stack at low tide.
Shown as found, on hydroid Abietinaria underneath a rock ledge at low tide.

Found as is, next to its slime sponge prey, Oscarella carmela (patches visible from upper left to lower right), on the underside of a low intertidal boulder.

Found on a largely grazed patch of its sponge prey Oscarella carmela on the underside of a low intertidal boulder. 2nd image shows the microhabitat, and 3rd image is close-up of a largely ungrazed portion of the sponge under the same rock.
Will and I found a cluster of 4 individuals, on or next to their sponge prey Oscarella. Three were medium-size, and one was about 5 mm long (shown embedded in Oscarella in 3rd image).
I found 5 specimens on or next to their sponge prey Oscarella carmela (pictured in 2nd & 3rd images).
10 mm long.
Also 18 mm long and found under a cobble at Naples Point. Not often seen; preys on plakinid sponges, including Oscarella carmela.
