Red shafted
Observed taking multiple eggs from a next on the ground. It would carry one egg in its beak and fly to a spot ~150 meters away and deposit it, and then return for another egg.
There's an ant climbing on the back of this Northern Flicker's head :)
This is one of 50 plus Common Ravens flying right over me during a 30 minute period this evening. This has been going on for over a week, with my high count being 60 plus. Some roost in the top of our woods. What's going on?
