The 2nd picture has Lateristachys lateralis growing with Brownseya, on the left-hand side
Locally common in steep coastal kohekohe forest. May be some hybrids with S. heterophyllus too.
I think because of its non-filiramulate growth habitat and large leaves. Growing in Podocarp forest.
