36*F
It's 36*F outside right now (Lubbock). I'm tempted to turn on the blacklight to see which "tough ones" are out and about, but that means I have to go outside too.
Not as tough as I used to be, apparently.

Several of us here in Lubbock have noted the presence of numerous Monarchs migrating through our area. By "numerous," I mean "ridiculous amounts." I've lived here 3 years and the best year was 2015, with 20-25 gathered in trees as I was walking along the nature area at Dunbar Lake (Lake 6). This is substantially more than that. They were everywhere from about 5:00 - 7:00.
May they find their way into your neighborhood so that you may enjoy them, too.
Note: I spent late morning and most of the afternoon in Hale County, and saw nary a one.
May your feet lead to you new and unexplored places.
May your eyes and ears find unusual and wonderful things.
May your camera capture unique species never before documented in your area.
Be safe, have fun, and good luck to all!
Is anyone else obsessed with UT Austin's Live Falcon Cam? After numerous attempts to see "Tower Girl," the resident Peregrine Falcon, I finally got to see her today (@ 12:54PM).
