Dryad's saddle, also known as Polysporus Squamosus, is a valuable edible mushroom that can grow on both living and dead trees. On a living tree, Dryad's Saddle mushrooms act as a parasite, and on a dead tree, it assists in the decomposition process. Dryad's Saddle can be identified by their tan-colored caps with brown patterns, and distinctive pore patterns on the underside of the caps. They are valuable in acting as a key source of protein, vitamins and minerals in one's diet. It contains antioxidants, which assists in boosting one's immune system.
