Found floating in a glass of water that had been left out. Not 100% certain of id given the stage and the way the water tension made it stretch its body flat, but we've been dealing with a B. germanica infestation for several months and once I poured it out it hunched up and more closely resembled how I expect nymphs to look.

Very small perching bird (size of a chipping sparrow or kingbird). Hoping around clinging to ends of spruce branches and feeding at cones, sometimes hovering to do so. Greenish-grey back, at least one white bar on wings, pale-and-dark markings on brow/crown similar to a white-throated sparrow.
