At least five different individuals (three males) found in a short stretch of the trail inside the tall second growth dominated by Cecropia and that runs parallel to the lower Caño La Rompida. Obtained recordings of the loudsong of three separate males (natural vocalizations). For the first and second male I also briefly played back their own (individual) songs to elicit a response, which I recorded too. Quite vocal all afternoon. While waiting for a silent male to start singing (second male) it started to go down branch by branch until eventually leaping on the ground. In the leaf litter, caught a green, medium sized insect (probably a grasshopper) and started to go up with short flights between branches. Later started singing and I recorded it. Second individual was photographed.
These are voices of the first male found (ML199552361)

Same pair as in ML199406631. These are two call types, with wing mechanical sounds, delivered by the pair after flying in quickly in response to playback of cuts in All Birds Colombia app labeled in error as Stigmatura napensis (Lesser Wagtail-Tyrant) -- also in xeno-canto XC230043, XC230046. There is no much vegetation in this sandy island, with short willows. Sunny, hot morning. Birds vocalizing in the background were flying over or calling from the larger island or the river bank, thus not annotated in this checklist (only those seen or flying over this island).
