Not shown: the devestation wrought by the BLM at the Steve West Birding Sanctuary (6-Mile Dam). All vegetation removed except along the river bank. Supposedly reseeding, but I do not understand the scorched earth. Mesquites, I suppose I can understand, Yuccas and saltbush I cannot. The area for this bird to hunt for food has been reduced by 90%
