Descripción

Skull of a deer found in my neighbors front hard. Very obviously that of a male deer. Head around 8 cm long, 4 cm wide. Large antlers, about twice as long as the head, I would say. Probably found in the wild or hunted, not sure which.

Plant growing as a weed in someone's front yard in my neighborhood. Reached around .5 ft off the ground, had many leaves which were dark green in color, oblong shaped, with a waxy texture. Not flowering, although it could have flowers at other times of the year or at other periods in its life.

Small plant observed growing as a weed in someone's yard in my neighborhood. Star like pattern of leaves, ranging from 1 cm to 4 cm in length. Mild greenish coloration with some red coloring around the edges, which are cerrated in shape. Does not reach far off the ground, smooth to the touch.

Tree observed In a forest near my house. Around 8 ft tall. Trunk around 4 cm in diameter. Light brown, rough textured trunk. Small, light green colored leaves, smooth and waxy in texture, around 2 cm in length on average, teardrop shaped. Many branches radiating outward from the trunk with many leaves of varying sizes.

Light greenish blue colored lichen growing in a flowering shape on a small stick near my house. Rather sharp in texture, but not painful. Also rather crumply and bumpy. Around half the size of my fist, maybe smaller.

Lichen growing on a tree which was light bluish green in color, as many tree lighens seem to be. Rough in texture, but not as rough as some other lichens that I've touched. Not very large or very protruding, and was growing on a live oak tree. Max 9 cm from top to bottom. Observed on a tree in someone's front yard in my neighborhood.

Large tree observed in a forest near my neighborhood. Brown colored rough bark. Trunk about 10 cm in diameter, seemed to be around 20 feet tall. Long, branching appendages. Small green leaves around 3 cm in length, smooth in texture. Very common tree that grows in central Texas, which I see just about everywhere.

Descripción

Large butterfly. Around 2 cm from wingtip to wingtip, around 1 cm from top to bottom of body. Orange in color with black stripes and white spots near the tips of it's wings. Highly resembled a monarch butterfly but I am not sure that's what it was. Observed in my neighborhood.

Small beetle around 1 cm in length and .5 cm in width. Seen crossing the road in my neighborhood. Completely black and somewhat shiny, larger lower body part than upper body part. Was very fast but when I approached it to photograph it, it stood still.

40x. Completely clear, very simple in structure. Just an elongated, thin shape with sharp edges and dark lines defining it's body. Slightly motile. Probably a diatom of some kind, not sure what exactly.
