An uncooperative butterfly! Refused to open its wings, but was very well camouflaged amongst the dead leaves on the path. Its wings were orange and black, but if lew so quickly and jerkily that I didn't get a good look. Wingspan about 6 cm.

Seen perching for about 15 minutes on a pomegranate. Was it feeding? I couldn't see any frontal activity. Seems a long time to be just resting.

Not a good image, so hard to tell. The spider was about 7 mm long. iNat thinks it's a Sidymella, but I don't think the legs are long enough

I'm choosing this famuily because the insect acted like a hover fly, flying forwards, backwards and sideways. The tiny antennae also make me think this is a fly, although I haven't been able to find a similar image. It was about 15 mm long. Would love to have a name for it.
