This little guy surprised me on the dogwood trail just outside of Woodville. I was so glad he got highlighted before I got too close. I ended up walking around him and he stayed still the whole time. I’m a firm believer that if you respect them they will respect you.

Edit: I went back into the woods with my husband and found out these were insect galls. The leaves were off a sweet bush.
I really don’t know about this one, my husband brought home the “fruit” and the leaf asking me what it was. He said it looks like a tree. He said it was about 3 foot tall.
