Overcast morning, mild temperatures. Treed area next to a creek. This is my first sighting of an armadillo on campus.

Patterns of right wing, looking down, strongly resemble that of Pearl Crescent. Wing patterns showing a bit of fading. Part of left wing missing. Temp about 60 deg F.

This is an update on notes. This is a blue throat pikeblenny. It is a blenny species that has an extended snout. For scale see the thumb in the third picture. This specimen is about 3 inches long. The 2nd photo show a characteristic dorsal fin with double rows and a terminal circular pattern. The expanded throat appears to have a bluish tone rather than yellow on another species. Also there appears to be a bluish part that extends to the burrow.

Good agreement with flower and leaf. Picture also shows it climbing on 7 foot tall ragweed. Vine also spreads on the ground; climbing out of a creek bed and covering the ground. Aggresive?.

Beak markings are that of a Mute Swan. Swan is swimming in shallows of glacial lake-Lake Lucerne. Another nearby swan with one leg out of the water.
