I’m pretty sure this is a red shouldered hawk… We live on top of a hill in Oakland and I have never seen predator birds up here, just songbirds and pigeons and all... s/he landed on a wire right above my neighbor’s birdseed feeder... s/he flew away without breakfast though.

Was laying in bed reading on phone, hawk landed on branch outside my window... only stayed 45 seconds but had phone in hand, managed to get a few pictures.

Baker beach orange growth on trees, come here frequently but have not noticed before being there or being this bright.

Four hawks flying together, playing chase with each other in flight on the ridge lift... maybe younglings, two seemed smaller, less stable.
