Several males on lilypads. Posture was tail bent down onto lilypad. Pale blue head with large blue eyespots and a wide black shoulder stripe. Tail had some blue on segments 7-10. There was blue on segments 1-2 with a large black spot on the side of those two segments.

There were also slender bluets there. They were differentiated by the lilypad's larger eyespots, black segments 3-6, dark spot on side of 1-2, and more stocky build.

Hidden Lake Park, Lake Metroparks, Leroy Township, Lake County. Population is present at Hidden Lake in the northwest corner of the lake. They breed in the lake. Population annually is between 100-200 individuals. This is the only spot I find them in the county.

Hell Hollow Wilderness Area, Lake Metroparks, Leroy Township, Lake County. Population may be coming from wetlands nearby. They have been found occasionally in the open areas along the trail leading into the park and in open areas along Paine Creek since 2002. The exact breeding location has never been identified.

Riverview Park, Madison Township. It was caught and photographed while it was patrolling an area adjacent to the Grand River. This species has not been found at this location since. It has been found elsewhere adjacent to the Grand River in subsequent years, not annual.
