Hypogymnia heterophylla?

( or perhaps H. inactiva? )

This observation has noticeably narrower lobes than my observations from the same area same day that I tentatively identified as H. enteromorpha, and these are forked at the tips.

One photo shows slim perpendicular side lobes, typical of H. heterophylla.

On hemlock, at ~900m.

soft, appressed lichen on hemlock, ~900m elevation, along Panorama Trail above Sea to Sky Gondola

Without a chemical test it is perhaps not possible to be certain this is not H. apinnata?

However, it does have short, bud-like side lobes and swollen tips and is not at low elevation. According to McCune & Geiser's Macrolichens of the PNW can be appressed . The habitat is correct.

Cladonia squamosa, perhaps?

a single little Cladonia, rather unusual habitat? - decaying bark on the trunk of a hemlock

It was the only Cladonia I saw after looking at many tree trunks along the Panorama Trail (Sea to Sky Gondola).

"Its typical form is a classic example of what mycologists call an "effused-reflexed" fruiting body; it spreads its spore-bearing surface over the wood and musters up just enough cap-making umph to fold over its upper edge into a slight extension. " mushroomexpert.com

on a western hemlock along the Sea to Sky Gondola's Wonderland Trail. I think it's H. inactiva rather than H. imshaugii because the habitat is moist (by Wonderland Lake) and the lobes show a lot of black.
