On 6th April, 2024, at least 3 fully grown adult Pinctada albina found by local community members whilst recreationally fishing for razorfish, 15km south of Pt Augusta. Live specimens collected for bait, and the remaining Pinctada shells were supplied to the Marine Hitchhikers of Eyre Peninsula project by GW of Pt Augusta.

Checking please if these are Aust plague locusts in various colour combos, or wingless grasshoppers, or more than one species with similar structure? They are eating many things in the garden, including vine fruit leaves, citrus leaves, leafy vegetables and some native plant leaves. Thanks for advice.

This species is resident / apparently site attached in the area under the ladder, under the pontoon, and on the growth over the support piles.
