This was a cactus that was still standing when I reported on it last year.
The no’s reported on the volunteer form were based on what I could see.

I did not include this in counted arms, but I believe I observed a tiny bud starting which would make 3 arms if I am correct.

I recorded two arms but I am not sure that is what they are, or just branching from where the trunk was damaged.

The 32 holes were what I could see. This saguaro has lost its top twice. 4 arms are mature, one at very top was the size of a grape fruit and flowering but there were 3 more on the south side of the cactus that were slightly larger than a cherry.

3 of the 8 arms are buds. Even though the saguaro has healthy new growth and thicker arms than last year it’s ribbing is deeper and closer together. I believe it has lost an arm but I am not positive.
This saguaro is on the edge of Evelyn Hallman Park, 5’ from the road.
