The slightest hint of red on the very back of the crown. Drummed a bit, then flew to a nearby tree to continue feeding. The photo was taken out of my window, and they didn't seem to take much notice of me, though they were aware of my presence.

Young fledgling, first day out of the nest. It did take a flight from this corner to the wall before proceeding to cover another 15+ yards to land. After that, it flew about 3 yards to a tree where it remained. I have seen the female feeding at the nearby nest, around 4ish yards from where this chick was.

A nest near the tree that the fledgling landed in. The adult female was seen feeding a nest of three that appeared to have no feathers; however it was difficult to tell due to the angle. The male is seen often nearby.

Just heard the vocalization, an almost maniacal-laughing type call in the distance. It only called once, then went silent. It was heard in oak woodland, at the forest's edge.

Empty grass seed husks around the hill in aprox. 12 inch radius around the hole, which was around an inch in diameter. The ants themselves were dark, with reddish abdomens.

A cavity nest in a nestbox with two cold eggs about an inch long. Pale blue with no mottling/splotches/etc. Made of old grass and twigs as well as a few large, white feathers. It's a cup a few inches deep.
Western Bluebirds and Tree Swallows were seen in and out of the cavity. The eggs were cold when disturbed for this photograph.

Continously emitting a sort of 'ee-yup' call sitting towards the top of the tree. It flew at my approach. There is a nest nearby (within several meters) and I suspect that this is the female tending to it.
