Some jerk ran this poor creature over, it breaks my heart. We have lived 9n the Perdido river for 50 year and I have never seen one on the river. But knew they were there, I've only seen them at Fort Pickens jetty. This was about a mile and a half east of Ruby's Fish Camp.

Pretty sure this is Hohenbuehelia petaloides, but waiting to finish microscopy to confirm before identifying to species level.
