I have a lifelong interest in insects. Been tagging monarch butterflies since age 9. Learned plants in high school, expanded my knowledge ever since.

I hold three research positions:
Research Associate in Entomology, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
Research Associate, Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden
Research Associate, Jepson Herbarium, U.S. Berkeley

I am lead author of the book, Wildflowers of Orange County and the Santa Ana Mountains.

I teach/have taught college courses in general biology, zoology, botany, entomology, and ecology.
