A lifelong nature lover, I'm also a California Naturalist and the current Community Outreach chair for Pasadena Audubon Society. I'm also the co-creator of our fresh-off-its-pilot-year Bird Science Program with Pasadena Unified. Part of that job is teaching our volunteers proper owl handling in partnership with Wild Wings of California. I'm passionate about environmental education, and along with my plushie pal Albie the Albatross, actively working on educating people about reducing plastics and other single-use products in their everyday lives. I believe that a lot of small changes can make a great big difference. While I love all animals, I'm nuts about the ocean and its inhabitants, especially sea otters, octopuses, whales, and seabirds.
