In Spring of 2019, I began working with a bee research initiative based out of Cascadia College and UW Bothell in Bothell, Washington studying the abundance and diversity of bees on campus using non-destructive sampling methods (ie. photographs.) iNaturalist seems like an obvious fit for sharing some of those images and getting help with identification.

I've also been building a pollinator project called BEEvesting to support local agriculture by promoting pollinator health and am working with other native bee enthusiasts to establish the Washington Native Bee Society which has a collection project here on iNat. Seriously, the last two years I have been fully immersed in all things bees all the time. Love them!
