-Mi nombre es Carlos Eduardo Delgado y JUMABITA es el nombre del proyecto que quise emprender por amor a la naturaleza.

-Empezare contandoles sobre mi, soy Administrador de Empresas y mi ocupacion laboral es muy distante a esto de la naturaleza. Sin embargo gracias a un proyecto agroforestal que emprendi hace algunos años en el Vichada, me enamore mas de la naturaleza todavia.

-JUMABITA, cuyo nombre se deriba de la plabra JUMA que en lenguaje de la tribu Puinave significa Rio Arriba y la plabra BITA en honor a la cuenca del Rio Bita; rio perteneciente a la region de la Orinoquia, en los llanos orientales, en el departamento del Vichada, que es ademas una importante zona de Biodiversidad y ya ha sido designada como zona Ramsa y el primer Rio Protegido de Colombia . Elegi este nombre en honor a este rio que me atrapo en su magia, rodeada de naturaleza y encantos.

-Estando ubicado alli tuve acercamientos con La Fundacion Omacha quienes interesados en la proteccion de la zona, se acercaron y despues de contactos y reuniones, empezamos a trabajar en conjunto en una serie de proyectos de conservacion, tambien con Resnatur y el Instituto Humbold.

-Sin ser un cientifico, ni erudito en los temas, me considero una amante empedernido y un observador inquieto. Mis observacionas se basaron inicialmente en Mamiferos y Reptiles primordialmente de la zona mencionada. Sin embargo tiempo despues mi interes naturalista daria un giro en un incremento de interes por las aves en general, fue allí cuando incremente mi foco de interes en ellas, observandolas y fotografiandolas.

-Despues de haberme presentado, espero de esta gran comunidad NATURALISTA aprender y aportar humildemente en lo que mas pueda.

*My name is Carlos Eduardo Delgado and JUMABITA is the name of the project that I wanted to undertake for the love of nature.

*I will start by telling you about myself, I am a Business Administrator and my job occupation is very distant from this of nature. However, thanks to an agroforestry project that I started a few years ago in Vichada, I fell more in love with nature still.

*JUMABITA, whose name derives from the word JUMA which in the language of the Puinave tribe means Rio Arriba and the word BITA in honor of the Bita River basin; The river belonging to the Orinoquia region, in the eastern plains, in the department of Vichada, is an important Biodiversity zone and has been designated as the Ramsa zone and the first Protected River in Colombia. I chose this name in honor of this river that caught me in its magic, surrounded by nature and charms.

*Being located there I had contact with The Omacha Foundation who are interested in the protection of the area, they approached and after contacts and meetings, we began to work together on a series of conservation projects, also with Resnatur and the Institute Humbold.

*Without being a scientist or a scholar on the subject, I consider myself an inveterate lover and a restless observer. My observations are based on Mammals and Reptiles primarily from the mentioned area. However, some time later he would give a great interest in birds in general, observing and photographing them.
