I am an Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Toronto Mississauga in Canada. I study the evolutionary ecology of plant-animal (mostly plant-herbivore) interactions. My passion for natural history started as a young boy in Presqu'ile Provincial Park where my grandmother had a cottage. I then had the good fortune to work in Algonquin Park as a naturalist for four years, before turning my attention to experimental research at the University of Toronto, Duke, NCSU and then back to UofT at Mississauga. My daily commute takes me through the Credit Valley, but work and pleasure take me to every corner of the earth to uncover nature's mysteries.
