I'm an aspiring marine ecologist from Southern California with a primary interest in Actiniaria. My main focus is the introduction and proliferation of nonnative species of sea anemones in harbors, ports, and other nearshore environments that are subject to marine traffic as well as how the presence of these introduced species may affect local biodiversity.

I've been fascinated by the complex relationships that occur beneath the waves for about as long as I can recall. From intraspecific competition to Batesian mimicry between completely unrelated species, the way our planet's marine life has adapted for survival in an almost otherworldly environment will never cease to amaze me. Throw humans into the mix, and you've got a very interesting dynamic (to say the least).

I'm quite active here, so feel free to message or tag me in observations that you would like me to take a look at.
