Fynbos fanatic, Professional photographer

I have been living in the Western Cape for the last 16 years and am crazy about Fynbos. I explore Fynbos and Renosterveld on Gondwana Game Reserve where I work through my lens. I am particularly interested in Indigenous orchids, but absolutely revel in all things Fynbos!

In the last 10 years I have been focused on documenting and exploring the species around me. In 2009 I did a personal study on the Orchids that I found growing in the garden route over the span of 5 years. I am currently working on Gondwana Game reserve and have indulged in researching and monitoring their fynbos and endangered and protected plant species.

In 2017 I was privileged to discover Satyrium muticum growing on Gondwana Game Reserve. Satyrium muticum is critically endangered, and until recently was considered extinct. Gondwana Game Reserve holds the only known population of this orchid in the world. I am actively involved in monitoring, documenting and conserving this species.
