I am a conservation biologist from Massachusetts and a firm believer that everything is connected through the ecological web of life. My path reflects my fascination with all creatures, great and small.
I have conducted field research studying the effects of mercury poisoning in marsh nesting birds in Maine and focused my thesis work on the spatial ecology of Eastern hognose snakes on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I have assisted in published research concerning the Massachusetts state-threatened frosted elfin butterfly and the federally-endangered New England cottontail rabbit.
I've worked as a conservation biologist throughout New England, and in Michigan. This has given me the opportunity to get to know and love a great variety of ecosystems and faunal diversity.
With a personal interest in writing and photography, I have sought to create meaningful connections between people and nature through research, stewardship, education, and the arts.
