I am an avid insect collector and am fairly familiar with many of the species in the inland Pacific Northwest. Through the years, I've had the opportunity to be involved in research projects on a variety of land dwelling arthropods, including Phidippus jumping spiders, Coccinellid beetles, Noctuid moths, and various parasitic wasps. I really enjoy photographing fruiting fungi, but know very little about their taxonomy, so please do suggest IDs for my many many mushroom photos.

I am a faculty member of a local community college, where I get to introduce biology and agriculture students to the biodiversity around them. It's a pretty great gig.
