Ever since I was little, I have been interested in all types of animals, with particular fascinations about reptiles and birds. One of my favorite hobbies is hiking and exploring natural landscapes to see the great outdoors and find wild animals. It seems like I learn something new about nature every time I get outside and I absolutely love it. I also love contributing to the scientific community through INaturalist. I have been a member of the Southwestern Herpetologist Society since 2013 and have participated in many of their field studies in Chatsworth, CA. I am also a member of the Snowy Plover Docent Program at Coal Oil Point Reserve, a volunteer for the Los Angeles Zoo, and a volunteer for CCBER at UCSB. I have also volunteered with Friends of the Island Fox and Heal the Bay. I am also currently a student at University of California, Santa Barbara and am majoring in Zoology.

For identification, I am mostly familiar with birds and reptiles. Mention me (@tothemax) in an observation if you think I might know what the animal in question is.
