I am a mother and grandmother who loves to hike. My son is a herpetologist and when he is in town, I often tag along on his excursions. While he is searching for lizards, snakes, frogs, toads and salamanders, I pay attention to flowers. I am just learning to identify what I see around me, and am a complete (but passionate) amateur.
