In order to further clarify the distribution of a fascinating species of cricket, the Oecanthe thermometer, your help is requested. In the literature and in the field, the species is distributed unevenly, in the Southwest, in Cap-Rouge, through a small population east of Sherbrooke. Scattered enough ...! If you have the chance to hear (characteristic song, see link), it would be very appreciated to let us know by compiling it on the project (even if you have no photo). The species is active in the evening and is mainly associated with brambles (Rubus spp.). Males sing in the trees ... Thanks in advance. See the following link for information on song and species (singing at a temperature of 12.5 degrees = evenings in August.
