Diario del proyecto Careless Swamp

The long and boring winter has finally come to an end! The warmth of spring has awoken the swamp critters and has brought with it the promise of excellent wrangling days to come. What marvelous beasts await discovery? How will we find the time to photograph them all in excessive detail? Where have my pants gone and why am I up to my nipples in glorious wetland?

This swamp season the answers to these questions will be found, critters will be photographed, Phil will undoubtedly eat questionable soup and I will find my pants!

Join us on our marvelous adventure through the swamp and into history as we strive to uncover the secrets of the swamp!

The dumpster fire that is 2020 has done nothing to stop the glorious critters to be found in the Careless Swamp. The biting insects may be bad and the leeches abundant but the diversity of plants and animals is nothing short of superb! This year is shaping up to be the best yet for the swamp biodiversity survey team that consists of Dr. Philadelphia Cheese, Professor Snuggles (Matt Ireland) and the team of highly skilled child laborers that are brought in periodically to flush out tiny insects with their nimble child fingers.

Overall 2020 may go down in swamp history as the greatest survey season ever and if people keep coughing on each other then 2021 is looking pretty good as well.

The arrival of the warmer spring weather has officially started the 2019 Careless Swamp Critter Cataloging Season!
This season brings with it the promise of adventure and discovery.
Friendships will be made and broken.
Lifelong alliances will be upheld while others will be forged anew in the flooded forests of the Careless Swamp lowlands.
Stones will be shifted! Logs will be lifted! Soil will be.....sifted! (for various subterranean arthropods)
The hungry hordes of biting insects will not stop the brave explorers that venture these lands!
And though many will inevitably die in the pursuit of new species records, they will be remembered! (probably with a tiny memorial plaque)

So set forth into these wild lands and do not be careless in your search unless you care to be less than you can be.
