Grassland birds at Coal Creek
On May 5, team members from Southeastern Grasslands Initiative, led by new intern Jared Gorrell, documented many plant and animal species at Coal Creek. Of particular note is the observation of a number of grassland birds, including Bobolink, Northern Harrier, Eastern Meadowlark, Grasshopper Sparrow, Savannah Sparrow, Field Sparrow, and Prairie Warbler.
