Hi everyone! Our BioBlitz has officially come to a close. Later this week I will revisit the project and share statistics with everyone, to give extra time for identifications to be made and more time to those still uploading their observations (me included). At the time of this post, we have over 700 observations and around 430 different species recorded during the event! This is awesome and I can't wait to see the final numbers.
I wanted to thank everyone who participated in the BioBlitz, whether you came to one team or multiple, made observations, helped point out organisms to those with cameras, made identifications, or just came out for the fun, I really appreciate it. We couldn't have done this without the help of you all!
Another quick reminder: especially if you uploaded through the mobile app, please double check your observations and ensure that your photo has loaded correctly into the observation, and that the location is accurate. Sometimes GPS messes up the location while saving, we just need all observations to be tagged within the park boundaries for the project.
If anyone has any remaining questions or trouble with your observations feel free to email or text me! Carly.Guido@parks.ny.gov or (716)9974973
Best,
Carly
