Road kill observations requested for Phil Hardberger Park

Environmental consultants and city staff are interested in tracking road kill incidents before and after the Land Bridge construction, which will join the two sides of Phil Hardberger Park. The area of interest is located off of Wurzbach Parkway between Blanco Rd. and NW Military Hwy.

We realize it is unsafe to take a photograph while operating a motor vehicle, therefore we request that iNaturalists do not operate their phone while driving. After you reach a safe destination iNaturalist can be used to upload the approximate location and species of road kill and no photograph is required.

Species likely to be seen include: white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), raccoon (Procyon lotor), common opossum (Didelphis virginiana), armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus), fox squirrel (Sciurus niger), and coyote (Canis latrans).
