North section - 01/21/2022

Friday, 9:05-12:20 no live newts, 218 dead newts.
I walked with @onyxrat.
Weather: nice.
Coverage: from the Jones Trailhead parking lot to the second stop sign.
Newts: I documented 218 dead newts, at least 1 of them juvenile. 131 of the newts were found on the hill side of the road, 87 were found on the lake side. Many of them were fresh.
Other roadkills: Tylobolus millipedes, centipedes, Jerusalem crickets, 2 glowworms, 1 slender salamander, spider.
Traffic: 41 cars, 9 trucks (County Roads, county parks), 1 motorcycle, 5 bikes, 8 pedestrians, 26 parked cars (10 cars in the farthest parking lot! there was a group there).

@merav, if you look at the map for this project, you can see several markers that are on the wrong side of the reservoir or otherwise not on Alma Bridge Rd. You might want to let the team know that they should move those markers onto the road. Sometimes GPS apps don't record accurate coordinates because of the mountains.
