Lifetime naturalist. Formerly employed with the NC Dept. of Agriculture - Bio-Control Division, served as an instructor at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, and volunteer with Audubon. Background in biology / geology with interests across the board with a focus on insects, herps, and birds.

Research in entomology, in particular Hidden Snout Weevils, Subfamily Cryptorhynchinae. Overall interest in all taxon, but particularly Cerambycid beetles, Buprestid beetles, odonates, lepidoptera, various herpetofauna, and birds.

Anything living is worth a photo in the right light (and being a naturalist at heart, an identity as well).
