Exploring Bushland, Perth, WA

4 months later and I am still here and really missing wandering around the whenua and moana but now my son is at the stage where he needs to balance walk and the best way to do that is walking on sand as the foot sinks and you have to compensate for that. Luckily there is bushland with sand walking tracks just down the road so we have started walking there where the sand is courser than home.

I was good and left my camera behind, but a few days later I finally cracked and took it with me as there are so many flowers out at the moment and I was surprised that I could identify what where orchids and a drosera which goes to show how much I have learnt from NW - and not forgotten LOL

At least I can get the genus and through a google search I found some of the species for the orchids as seen below, but not the drosera. I also put the Red and Green Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthos manglesii) below as that is the flower emblem for WA.

Hopefully I will be back home before Labour weekend to get the tomatoes and garden planted for Christmas and then roam around the whenua and moana and get back to NW with a vengence so brace yourselves for when that happens LOL
