San Luis Obispo, CA. Found this 1 and 3/8-inch long (3.5 cm) spider in my office. Caught it and released it in the bushes outside. Very cool-looking spider! Picture quality not the best because it's a Samsung phone.

California rangers captured it, restored it to health, and released it. I don't recall the date but news reports date this as happening Februrary 2015.

Not sure what this is. It looks like a mouse (body 3" long), but I suppose it could be a baby rat. My cat treed it in a 3-foot tall tangerine, lol. I put the cat inside and let the rodent escape.
