A random couple of robust clumps in the garden recorded here. Common around the yard in shady and open spots. Last photo is in another spot and is of smaller more hair like plants.
Perennial as evidenced by last year's leaves dry around the base. Otherwise seems like danthonioides to me.
There are almost no native grasses or forbs in the yard right now, so this stood out to me. Plenty of non native Bromus, Cerastium, Taraxacum, Vulpia, Poa. Cardamine, and other annuals around the yard.
