Lobo Gris (Canis lupus)Observ.
mprobinsDescripción
Large canine tracks.
The track pattern seemed to suggest the animal was leaping/jumping. This would have made sense as the snow was close to a meter deep and had a hard crust on top (would have been difficult for walking).

Large weasel.
Suspected fisher, wolverine or even river otter. Snow was very wet and tracks were in poor condition. There were definitely 5 digits registering in prints. Measurements also revealed the stance (stride) was quite wide. There were also several shallow lakes nearby.
The surrounding habitat was mostly burnt pine stands (almost all dead trees) and scattered wetlands.
Tracks approximately 8 x 8 cm.
Distinct 2 x 2 loping pattern.
Stride 50 cm
Straddle: 18 cm
